Brad yes that pretty much sums it up. Forester's computers are more a visual ballistics aid than a proper computer. Technically they are a computer, but all they do is what visual ballistics does - to the extent of a vb player who applies very basic techniques, with a high degree of competence in identifying the key revolution.
I've been through this with many of forester's players who then see my computers and understand what a difference you can make if you predict based on variables including but not limited to rotor speed and resulting ball bounce, diamond isolation, variations in ball deceleration etc. That's what a computer should do.
While it depends on the wheel and conditions, the sincerely honest order of preference is:
1. my computers (not to sound biased, but it's the truth and by a long way)
2. advanced visual ballistics methods
3. Forester's computers
4. basic visual ballistics methods
If he fixed his point set feature, then his devices would be at 2.
